Ixchel Spanish School in Antigua Guatemala has been in business for more than a decade and we are recommended by thousands of satisfied students as well as all major travel guides. The quality of our Spanish courses is second to none and since the lessons are one on one, we can adapt them precisely to your needs, interests and learning style.
Besides our general Spanish courses for students of all levels we also offer special courses for professionals, travelers, volunteers and children. And if you can’t travel to Guatemala to take part in an immersion course or want to continue working on your Spanish after you return home, you can also take our Spanish courses online via Skype!
Ixchel’s teachers are all native Spanish speakers and have received extensive training. Most of the teachers have more than five years of experience teaching Spanish as a second language to foreign students, some have been with Ixchel since the school was founded in 1999.

College Credits
College credits, which we offer in cooperation with Universidad Da Vinci de Guatemala, are US$100.00 per credit (not per week or per course) in addition to Ixchel’s tuition. The fee for the credits covers the university’s course fees and the cost of the transcript.
Discounts
Students with a schedule of 20 or 25 hours per week who take their classes in the afternoon receive a US$30.00 discount on their weekly tuition.
Groups of 5+ students and students who stay for 4+ weeks and take at least 20 hours per week receive a discount of US$30.00 per person on their weekly tuition.

Your homestay can begin on any day of the week. A week is seven consecutive nights. For instance, if you begin your homestay on Wednesday, your week runs until Wednesday morning of the following week.
Family homestay includes breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday to Friday, and breakfast and lunch on Saturdays. The host families do not provide meals on Saturday nights, Sundays and national holidays.
