About Marcos Terete
Marcos is from Guatemala, Central America. He spends his mornings teaching all subjects at an elementary school in the village of San Miguel Milpas Altas, Guatemala. His passion for teaching extends beyond the classroom to teaching expats and visitors to Guatemala private Spanish lessons in their homes, hotels or in the village of Santa Ana. Marcos has 16 years of experience and is a qualified teacher. He is now extending his services worldwide by giving online Skype classes. With his method of teaching, you will get to learn and explore Guatemalan culture.
Prices
- 4 hours of Spanish Lessons per day ($118 per week)
Monday to Friday. In the afternoons, travelers will learn during one-on-one grammar and vocabulary lessons as well as explore Antigua and surrounding villages as part of the conversation part of the lessons. Mornings are free time for the students. They can easily go to the city center, walk in surrounding villages or go to some suggested sites. - 5 Class Package ($59)
This 5 class package includes two hour Spanish lessons which include grammar and conversation as well as Spanish conversation cultural tours in and around Antigua. - 10 Class Package ($99)
This 10 class package includes two hour Spanish lessons which include grammar and conversation as well as Spanish conversation cultural tours in and around Antigua. - Pay as you go Spanish lessons – Antigua ($10 per hour)
One-on-one Spanish lessons in your hostel, or in the village of Santa Ana, Antigua. - Homestay in Guatemalan home including 6 days of meals ($75 per week)
Sleeping accommodation in a Guatemalan family home. Please note that these homes do not have the same luxuries as what many people are used to in Western culture. Come with an open mind for an enriching cultural experience! The location of the family homes are outside of the center of Antigua in one of the surrounding villages. Shared bathroom. Private bedroom. Three meals per day (except Sundays). Simple, healthy, organic food prepared by local families. - Skype Lessons ($150)
You will have 10 1-hour Skype lessons with an experienced teacher from Guatemala. These lessons will include Spanish grammar and conversation. These classes in which you learn Spanish via Skype are ideal for someone wanting to brush up on their Spanish before visiting Central or South America, or just to learn a new language from the comfort of your own home. - Extras
It is possible to get WIFI access during your homestay. Cost varies depending on usage. It is a service from a local provider and usually costs between $5 to $10 per week. Please notify us if you wish to have this option upon arrival.
