Antigüeña Spanish Academy has been providing exceptional spanish education since 1985. It is authorized by Ministery of Education of Guatemala, and INGUAT and has been recommended by Lonely Planet, Foot Print, The Rough Guide, Open Road, Frommer’s, Moon and others. We work in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency and University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law and have thousands of satisfeed students from all over the world.

Our teachers, homestay families, director and owner are 100% Guatemalan. Our teachers are trained in the university to teach Spanish, and are highly qualified to teach beginners and advanced students seeking a master of the Spanish language. We pay the best salaries in the domestic market as well as our taxes.

Our school is located 50 meters from the Iglesia La Merced, one of the best locations throughout Antigua Guatemala.

Every monday from 2:00pm to 4pm there is City tour (one teacher). During this tour, we’ll provide you with information about restaurants, bars, cinemas, banks, supermarket, laundries, internet-cafes, barber shops, gyms, churches and many other places and services available in town in order for you to feel comfortable to shop and walk around the city.

    The most important information is ignored: you have to study on the street…this is a tiny and crawled school…

    Hola! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Spanish Academy Antigua (Academia de Antigua). There was a good mix of theory, practice and games to remember all the new words and phrases we learnt in español. Our teachers (maestras) Rosario y Dilia were fantastic!! If we have time, we will probably start Spanish lessons via Skype.

    This is a amazing School.!!!!
    I visited this year 2018 and my experience was amazing.
    My teacher was leticia socorec and she help me a lot.
    My homestay was vicky and she cooks excellent.

    The school has a beautiful place to study with a lot of green areas.

    Julio the owner is very helpful.

    I will return to this school.
    5 stars in all.
