About
We are devoted and highly experienced group of teachers with many years of experience teaching Spanish as a second language. Our school and teachers are recognized by the Ministry of Education and INGUAT. We offer personalized Spanish courses for persons who are interested in working, studying or traveling in Latin America. We also provide classes for persons who want to enjoy the experience of learning a new language.
Method
One of the main reasons that our students learn Spanish so quickly is that instead of pouring over myriad textbooks and writing endless essays, our teachers take a more practical and interactive approach to teaching Spanish. Language is communication. Therefore; students will begin to communicate in Spanish in their first class. Taught by knowledgeable and experienced teachers, our students quickly begin learning by listening, speaking, and repetition. Instructors gradually introduce grammar, oral and written exercises, as well as vocabulary and linguistic explanations. Courses are planned for all levels of proficiency: beginner I, II, III, & IV; intermediate I, II, & III; advanced I; and proficient levels. Latino Spanish School uses its own textbook and complements it with additional study material, such as: inserts from books, copies, exercises, notebooks and writing materials. We listen to our student needs and adjust our program in accordance to each student needs and wishes. Depending on the needs of our students, we carefully tailor the program so that our students leave our school with a better understanding of Spanish grammar, enriched vocabulary and better understanding of Guatemalan culture. Although we offer classes between 2-8 hours per day, we normally recommend that the student takes between 4 and 6 hours of Spanish classes per day. We recommend that our students take classes in the morning and complement these classes with afternoon activities where you will be able to practice your Spanish in a practical setting. We have learning books, Spanish dictionaries (not only for English speakers, but also for French, Japanese, etc.), and even new specialty books such as medical Spanish, Spanish for business, and Spanish for those in the legal professions.
